The collaboration with the graphic designer Juliane Petri throughout the creation of Corps Seul generated a series of small editorial projects, such as an artist’s notebook or a photography book. Also, based on the original theme, a workshop for children and parents was held at the Centro del Carmen de Cultura Contemporánea as part of the Vociferio poetry festival entitled Bonjour l’impossible. This project was very well received and is included in the activities proposed with the presentation of the show.
Moving age stereotypes or ageism through dance.
The aim of this workshop is that each participant can experience and understand through contemporary dance that movement does not understand limits, boundaries or age-related stereotypes. It is aimed at mature women of any age, with or without previous dance experience. The workshop begins with a brief introduction by choreographer and teacher Christine Cloux, in which she introduces the difficulties and barriers encountered in a career as a performer when reaching the age considered retirement age in the professional dance world, based on her personal experience.
In the workshop, there will be a practice to interact by dancing based on different patterns with the aim of enjoying the experience of dance through movements, breaking with stereotypes. This will be followed by a space for dialogue to share impressions and experiences of the participants with the intention of collecting these testimonies with their prior consent, preserving them and eventually incorporating them into the artistic process of the choreographer and thus opening the way to possible collaborations with the participants for future projects.
